¿Quiénes Somos?

Our family originates in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, however we spent the majority of our upbringing in El Santiago de Queretaro. Upon immigrating to Michigan of The United States, our passion has been to incorporate our cultural lifestyle and cuisine into our day-to-day in America.

The city of Battle Creek has many popular outlets of Mexican food, however a vacancy existed in the Northside Verona neighborhood. Out of a rundown former laundromat, Salsas Mexican Restaurant was born.

Carlos Bernal took with him the knowledge of starting up a restaurant and established a second in Three Rivers called Cazuelas, furthering the family business. Authenticity is what we strive for, as not everyone is fortunate enough to travel south to taste the delicious flavors of Mexican cuisine.
